Sarah Loftus

Exchange Students' Ministry Head

I am from the U.S., and after graduating from university, I worked as a teacher in public schools until I moved to Bangkok in 2021 to teach high school for three years at an international school. While working there, I began attending ECB and serving in the student ministry here. After sensing God wanting to lead me to something new, I made the hard decision to not stay at my school for a fourth year and then found out that the prior student ministry head was leaving ECB and was asked to pray about applying for the position. This was an answer to prayer and desires the Lord was giving me – to be in a role where I had more time to be a listening ear and mentor for students. And I am so excited to now be in this role and see it as a privilege and honor to get to partner with parents in discipling their students.

During my free time, I enjoy reading a lot of different genres, including Christian biographies and autobiographies and historical fiction. I also enjoy running and having good, soul-nourishing conversations with friends and anyone I meet. I would love to share a meal with you and hear more about what God is doing in your life!

I first attended ECB on Easter 2022 and knew this would become my new church home. I love the diversity and vibrancy of the ECB community; it has helped me grow as a disciple and person. And I’m so thankful to now work here. My hope and prayer for every student in EXCHANGE is that they would encounter God in life-changing and marking ways and live out the rest of their lives with God, becoming exactly who He created them to be.
