Scripture declares, “Children are a heritage from the LORD” (Psalms 127:3) and indeed,
children are most deeply valued and cherished by all of us.
At ECB we echo Jesus’ invitation to “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). To celebrate new beginnings in our children’s walk of faith, and to rejoice in our Saviour’s deep love for them, ECB invites families to take part in a simple Family Dedication led by one of our Pastors in the presence of the congregation.
Family Dedication includes a brief benediction spoken over children and families, prayer of blessing and consecration, a simple statement of commitment by parents to raise their children “in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4), and response from the congregation to walk alongside families in discipling of our children together as one unified body.
Participating families receive a Family Dedication Certificate to commemorate the occasion and serve as a meaningful reminder of the foundations upon which Godly families are established.
If you wish to partake in an upcoming Family Dedication, you are invited to fill out this online form.
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” (3 John 1:4)
