Jay and Jolie Ruansang

Young Adults Ministry Head

Jay and Jolie have been married since 2016, when they were serving together as youth leaders at ECB. They now have two beautiful daughters, Jassie and Jannie. Together, Jay and Jolie serve as part of the leadership team of the Young Adult Ministry.

Jay is Thai and brings a rich multicultural background to ministry. His father was raised by Finnish missionaries, and Jay also spent part of his life growing up in California, USA. Having grown up in a Christian family and lived cross-culturally, Jay understands the unique dynamics and challenges faced by third-culture kids (TCKs). His heart is to see youth and young adults, especially those raised in Christian homes, personally own their faith and grow in a genuine relationship with God. Jay has a background in Linguistics and Education, which shapes his passion for teaching, discipleship, and helping young people grow in their identity in Christ.

Jolie was born into a Thai-Chinese Buddhist family and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She decided to follow Jesus at the age of 22, shortly after graduating from law school. After experiencing the transforming love of Christ, Jolie developed a deep desire to seek the lost and help youth and young adults discover Jesus at a young age. Her heart is to see them walk in God’s truth, avoid the empty promises of the world, and experience the abundant life Jesus promised His disciples. Jolie is also passionate about using her legal background to help others and advocate for those seeking justice.

Together, Jay and Jolie are passionate about missions, discipleship, spiritual formation, and helping the next generation grow in a personal and lasting relationship with Jesus.
