This week's Life Group Questions
- Read Romans 5:1-5 (consider reading in two or more versions, like NIV and New Living Translation, The Message, Good News Bible, God’s Word version, etc.)
(NIV)(NLT)(MSG)(GNB)(GW)
What thoughts or questions came to mind as the Word was read? - What role do other Christians play in your life? Are they as important to you as they are to God? Are you aware of what God wants to do through them in your life? What would be different about you if you weren’t in this group?
- What does “intimacy with God†mean for you?
- How do you react when you realize that you have sinned?
- What do you say to God? Do you pray? What / how do you pray?
- What do you think about yourself?
- How does sin impact your relationship with others?
- Do the answers above reflect grace or condemnation? How might our responses be changed?
- Talk about repentance. Are you joyfully identifying the “next thing†in you that is not like Jesus?
- Knowing that you can only ever be invited and accepted by God, are you eager to remove everything not “of God
- What things might help us to be more aware of a guaranteed future than a challenging present?
- Read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. How can we encourage one another to keep our eyes on the eternal?
- Where are you more attached? Are you in the world AND of the world? Or are you in this world as a citizen of another Kingdom? Give an example.
- How can we pray for ECB and for our group right now?
