This week's Life Group Questions

1) Read Exodus 3:1-4:17.  What thoughts or questions came to mind as the Word was read?
2) What do you imagine it was like for Moses to move from Prince of Egypt to shepherd of Midian? Describe a time that you felt “demoted” and useless.
3) When is it most tempting to disbelieve the power of God in your life?  What has restored your belief in the past?
4) What situations cause you to wonder if God is really there?  How do you handle those feelings?
5) Describe a time when you felt that your sin was “out of range” of God’s forgiveness.
6) Do you feel useful to God?  Why or why not?
7) What would solitude look like for you?  What would most help you to encounter God and hear God’s voice?
8) What has God accomplished through solitude in the past?
9) Forgiveness, knowing God’s power and presence, God’s call on your life or empowerment – these were four of God’s reasons for calling Moses to solitude.  Which of those four might be reasons for you?  What other reasons would you put on the list?
