This week's Life Group Questions
1) Read Daniel 1 and specifically pay attention to Daniel’s approach to his work. What are some details that catch your attention?
2) What “statement” does Daniel make by refusing to eat the king’s food (verse 8)? What statements have you had to make in your job to remain faithful to your convictions?
3) God rewarded Daniel’s faithfulness by giving him supernatural abilities to make an impact for Him in his workplace (vv.17,20). In what ways has God empowered and enabled you to make an impact for Him in your workplace?
4) Your ministry is not defined by job specifics or location: you are the ministry (Col.3:23). How does knowing this change your view on your daily work? What does or could your ministry look like in your workplace?
5) When Daniel was confronted with an impossible work situation, he turned to God for help and God showed up mightily (Dan.2:18-19). How do you involve God in your job? How have you seen God at work in (complicated) job situations?
6 ) Are you willing to make your job part of God’s ministry to win the world to Himself? Reflect on this question together and pray for one another.
