Lou Ann Luken
Oasis Women's Ministry Head
I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, in the United States. My husband, Joe, and I have two adult children—Josh, and Erin, who is married to Chaz. We are also blessed with a granddaughter, Aviva.
For 24 years, I served as an elementary school teacher, working primarily with disadvantaged students. Later, I spent five years as the Outreach Director at Dayspring Church of God.
My life has been deeply shaped by growing up in a Christian home and witnessing my parents’ faith journey. Since high school, I have felt a call to serve in foreign missions, and in 2015, God clearly called us to move to Thailand and join YWAM at the Rak Teh ministry.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling, doing puzzles, exploring Bangkok, and spending time with family and friends.
In 2022, we became regular members of ECB, and I served on the Oasis Women’s Ministry Steering Team for two years.
Taking on the role of Oasis Ministry Head, I see a wonderful opportunity to create spaces where women can gather, connect, grow, and truly belong. I want to encourage and inspire them to see how they can share Jesus everywhere they go, while also connecting them to ministries where they can serve and make an impact.
