Day 49 – Gentleness & Self-Control

Oct 19, 2026  •  Erica Rodrigues

Scripture: Titus 3:2

"Be gentle toward everyone."

Devotional Reflection

Gentleness and self-control are qualities that reflect the character of Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, we can respond with patience, kindness, and wisdom rather than anger, pride, or impulsive reactions. As we surrender our thoughts, words, and actions to God, He helps us become a testimony of His grace.

Today, ask God to help your words and actions reflect the heart of Jesus.

Prayer Focus

- Thank God for His gentleness and patience toward you.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to help you control your words and reactions.

- Pray for a gentle and humble spirit in your relationships.

- Ask God to help you respond with grace during difficult situations.

- Pray that ECB would reflect the character of Christ in all relationships.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your patience, kindness, and grace. Help me to reflect the character of Jesus in everything I do. Guard my words, attitudes, and actions. Give me self-control when I am tempted to react wrongly, and help me respond with gentleness, wisdom, and love. May my life honor You and bless others. Amen.
