Sunday
Connecting my heart to the heart of the Father
Father, I praise You, for all things come from You! You are wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom! You have sent Jesus to be my Wonderful Counsellor. Thank You, that the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel and power rest on Him and that He is the One Who intercedes on my behalf before Your throne (Pause and continue to praise God).
In light of Your lavish love expressed through Christ, may I always trust in You and not be dismayed by the circumstances that seem to have hemmed me in.
For the relationships in my life that are in disrepair, I ask for Your wisdom O God, and humility to serve others out of my love for You.
In the handling of my finances and possessions, give me Your wisdom, Father.
For the decisions that I face and the uncertainty I feel, O God, counsel me in the way I should go!
At the very depths of who I am, may I have Your wisdom, that I might respond in each situation that I face as one who has listened to Your counsel. Remove every obstacle that blocks Your voice and tune my ears to hear You!
Forgive me for the times that I have been wise in my own eyes, for running ahead of You or excluding You completely from decisions that I make, or seeking the wisdom of the world. I have been foolish, forgive me, O Lord.
By Your Spirit, help me to truly revere You, that wisdom may be found in me. Like You, Lord Jesus, Who was anointed to preach good news to the poor, proclaim freedom for the spiritually imprisoned, blind and oppressed, may I reflect Your likeness and become a person of wisdom and godly counsel. May I counsel others according to Your Word!
I trust in Your Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me in all truth, and I thank You, Father, for the promise of Your Word – that You will be a sure foundation for my times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge. In the midst of the pull of the world, remind me I pray, that revering You is the key to this great treasure.
In the name of Jesus, Who is wonderful in counsel and the source of all wisdom. Amen.

Praying the heart of the Father for the ECB Faith Community
I lift up to You, Father, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are feeling ‘hard pressed on every side’ – may they not be crushed by the trials they face. May they be filled with confidence by Your Spirit that their momentary troubles are achieving an eternal glory for them that will outweigh the difficulties they face (2 Corinthians 4:8, 17)!
May we as Your people, Father, be prepared for works of service, so that ECB will be built up and reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of Jesus. May we become increasingly mature in our faith and attain the fullness of Christ! May we be built up in love, each of us doing our part as the body of Christ – using what God has put ‘in our hand’ for the benefit of the community of faith (Ephesians 4:13, 16; Exodus 4:1-2).

Tuesday
Father, I pray that we will be entrusted with the privilege of seeing those who don’t know You, turn to You. (Psalm 51:13) Draw the hearts of those who are far from You and may they find You because of us! Add to our number daily those who are being saved (Acts 2:47)!
Lord Jesus, I ask that You raise up from among us, those to minister to our children and youth, lead LIFE groups, practice hospitality. Raise up musicians, worship leaders and teachers. May there be no lack among us! Release the gifts of the Spirit in even greater measure, I pray.

Wednesday
ECB Prayer and Fasting Focus
Wednesdays have been set aside as a day of prayer and fasting for the ministries of ECB and to ask God for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit among us. You are invited to join in praying and fasting during one or all meals, or from something that is important to you. To receive a weekly Prayer and Fasting e-mail, please contact [email protected].
Ask God to anoint our Christmas gatherings with the presence of His Spirit and open doors for the Gospel. Pray that Jesus will clearly be seen in all of us this Advent season.
Lord Jesus, may our love for one another at ECB be sincere. Keep us from being superficial and uncaring, but teach us by Your Spirit to be devoted to one another in brotherly love and to truly honour one another (Romans 12:9-10).
I ask Father, that cultural preferences be set aside and that we will be increasingly unified under the ‘culture of Christ.’ Make us one Lord (John 17).
Teach us, Lord, how to live by, and keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
May we be strong in You, Lord, and in Your mighty power, and put on the full armour that You have provided for us, that we may stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10-11).

Thursday
Father, as Your people, may we trust in You alone, with all of our hearts, not lean on our own understanding or fleshly wisdom, but acknowledge You in everything we do and watch expectantly for You to make the path straight before us (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, may we be increasingly quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry (James 1:19). May our conversations be full of grace so that we may know how to answer everyone (Colossians 4:3).
Father, may we not give the enemy a foothold in our lives by holding onto anger (Ephesians 4:26; 4:2). Set us free from the need to be right. May our relationships be increasingly marked by humility.

Friday
Increase our boldness in speaking Your Word, Father, and confirm Your Word among us with signs and wonders, that You, Lord Jesus, might be exalted and the unbelieving come to faith (Acts 4:29-30)!
Father, may many be led to Jesus and Your love spread through the city of Bangkok through our lives. May Your favour rest upon us, Lord. Establish the work of our hands (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 51:18; Psalm 90:17).
Keep us from turning away from You, Father. May we be steadfast. Revive us and restore us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Make Your face shine one us, that the world may know that we are Yours (Psalm 81:18-19).
Father, help us as Your people to learn to walk humbly with You. Give us the gift of tears, I pray, as a sign that You are softening our hearts. Fill us with fresh passion for You and a hunger for holiness, that we would truly become those who seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Reveal to us, I pray, the things that keep us from truly drawing near to You (Psalm 119:2; Matthew 6:33).

Saturday
Speak powerfully through Pastor David. May we, Your people, have ears to hear what Your Spirit would say to us. Anoint our pastors, I pray – may those who lead us in worship be empowered by Your Spirit, those who come tomorrow who do not yet know You, be drawn to You, and, O God, pour out Your Holy Spirit on us! Renew us! Revive us! Change Us!
Father, prepare my heart to receive the ‘seed’ of Your Word tomorrow. May Your Word go deep within me, take root and produce lasting fruit in my life. I ask this for my brothers and sisters as well, change us by Your Word!
Pray for the Church of Jesus Christ in your home country. Ask God to pour out revival visitations of His Spirit on Christmas Outreach Ministries and gatherings across the land. Pray that our brothers and sisters worldwide will be salt and light and express the love of Jesus in word and action.
