Prayer Guide 19 June 2022
Sunday
Before you begin, ask the Holy Spirit to quiet your heart and bring to your mind the many reasons you have to be thankful. Spend time recounting the goodness of the Lord...
Father, it is good to praise You and proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night. You are the One Who makes me glad! Open my eyes to see the works of Your hands and sponsor in me, by Your Spirit, songs of joy, for You are worthy of the highest praise I can offer!
Forgive me Father, for every way that I have allowed my heart to be captured by the cares of this world instead of You and Your greatness. Like Paul and Silas, may I be found singing in the prisons that I face! No matter the situation, all things are possible with You!
May I always sing of Your great love, and make known with my mouth, Your continuing faithfulness through all generations. For Your love stands firm forever – Your faithfulness stands firm in heaven itself. And I know that You are able to do above and beyond anything that I can even imagine.
Help me to live life in Your presence. May the ‘shout of the King’ always be on my lips – thanksgiving and praise for who You are and the great things You have done! May all trials that I face become spiritual fuel that pushes me closer to You. Open my ears, Lord, that I might hear the song that You sing over me and find true rest and comfort in You.
May I be satisfied every morning with Your unfailing love, and sing for joy and be glad all day. Regardless of what I may or may not see with my eyes, I will rejoice in You and be joyful, for You O Lord are my strength. My hope is in You, the maker of heaven and earth.
You are my great reward, and I praise Your Holy Name! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

I praise You Lord, for calling me to Yourself (Pause and give thanks for the day of your salvation).
I praise You Lord, for leading and guiding me in the way I should go (Pause and give thanks for the ways that He has directed your steps).
I praise You for Your Fatherly heart and tender mercy (Pause and give thanks for His faithful love).

Monday
Pray, that as the body of Christ, we will be thankful in all circumstances and worship God faithfully! Ask God to give us ‘Paul and Silas hearts’ (Hebrews 12:28; Acts 16; 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Praise God that He has removed our sin from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12)!
Father, may we truly hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Destroy every deed of darkness among us, and may we put on the armour of light, clothing ourselves with Jesus only! Reveal the hidden things Father! Purify us and make us holy (Romans 12:9; 13:12-14)!

Tuesday
You have said, Lord, that You will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask – Father, I ask! Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit! Pour out Your Spirit on my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB! Revive us – change us! Conform us to the image of Jesus (Luke 11:11-13; Psalm 85:6)!
Ask God to add to our number daily those who are being saved (Acts 2:47).
As Your people, O God, may the fruit of the Spirit increasingly be seen in our lives. May love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control increasingly be evident among us in new, Holy Spirit sponsored ways. Destroy the passions and desires of the sinful nature in each of us (Galatians 5:22-23).

Pray that our love and compassion for the lost will increase, motivating us more and more towards acts of kindness and blessing.
Pray that we will increasingly become a people of blessing in the city of Bangkok.
Pray that ECB will increase in Gospel impact in the city of Bangkok and around the world. Ask God to grant wisdom to those who lead us – that they will know His mind in regards to the missional vision God is revealing to ECB.
Ask God to energize us by His Spirit, that we might not be lethargic or overwhelmed in engaging the people around us. Pray that we will increasingly be counter-cultural, radical followers of Jesus Christ.
Pray that Jesus will be revealed to the hearts of Thai people in dreams and visions and through the testimony of His Church. Ask God to empower and anoint the many compassion and mercy ministries within the nation of Thailand that they might be used by Him to draw people to Jesus.

Thursday
Father, may we be strong in You and in Your mighty power, and not put confidence in our own strength. May each of us daily wear the full armour that You have provided – may we ‘put on’ Jesus! Remind us, that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, and strengthen us to stand firm. Teach us to pray continually (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Give our Pastors, Elders and Deacons wisdom, strength and unity as they lead us.
You have said Lord, that Your house is to be a ‘house of prayer for all nations. Father, teach us to pray at ECB, to really enter into a deeper longing for you – greater faith, greater fervency. Make us to be a true house of prayer
(Mark 11:17).

Friday
You are the God of all hope, Father. I pray that You will fill my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB with joy and peace that their hearts might overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Where there is depression or despair, discouragement or doubt, may it be dispelled in Jesus’ name and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit be poured out on their lives (Romans 15:13).
Father, I pray that we will become the kind of worshipers that You are seeking, those who worship in spirit and in truth. Open the eyes of our hearts and reveal the hidden things, for You have said that You desire truth in our inmost parts. Show us Lord, show me, where I am still withholding my heart from You (John 4:23-24; Ephesians 1:18; Job 28:11; Psalm 51:6).
It is written that we should not “love the world or the things of the world’. Help us Lord! Increase our love for You, that everything else might diminish and Christ Jesus, increase (1 John 2:15)!

Saturday
May each of us come before you tomorrow with songs of thanksgiving and joy! Pour out Your Spirit on us as we gather, and change us, that we might be conformed to the image of Jesus!
Father, destroy all spiritual passivity in our lives and infuse us with fresh resurrection power! Transform the way we live, and make us to be risk-takers for the sake of Your Kingdom (Ephesians 1:18-20).
May our hunger for Your Word increase among us, and Your Word dwell in our hearts in great richness, becoming our true standard for living (Colossians 3:16).
