Annual Meeting 2020

On Sunday, 23 February, after the second service, the ECB annual meeting will be held. It will be a time of sharing and rejoicing in what God is doing at ECB and to answer any questions about the annual report (which is available on the ECB website and in the App). The meeting will be held in the Main Worship Centre and lunch will be provided.
Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is the first day of what has historically been called the season of Lent (which ends on Easter Saturday). During these 40 days of Lent (not counting Sundays), Christians throughout the generations have focused especially on the death of Jesus in order to more fully embrace the richness of His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Ash Wednesday begins this time of focus by reminding us of our great sin and our greater Saviour!

Come Wednesday (26 February) at 7:30 PM and participate in this rich and meaningful tradition of Ash Wednesday. Please note that childcare will not be provided.
Prayer Resource:
Seek God for the City

Please consider downloading the Seek God for the City 2020 App and using it as a prayer tool during the season of Lent to focus on the need of the cities and peoples of the world to encounter Jesus. Using this app will strengthen and encourage a heart of prayer during the Lent Season and beyond so please make use of this powerful prayer tool.

ECB Students' Retreat

Myths and misconceptions regarding the Christian faith are rampant among teenagers.  There are myths about Christianity such as, "Christians can't have fun" and "Christians have too many rules." There are myths about the Bible, "It isn't relevant to me today" or "It isn't even true so why should I believe it?"  There are even myths regarding individuals, "God couldn't love me" or "I'm worthless."  The list goes on.  During this retreat we want to confront some of these issues and just like in the Mythbusters TV show, we want to debunk them and lead students to Truth! This retreat is open to all students age 11 to 18 years old.
Decha Kositthanakorn

The Elder Board has accepted the application of Decha Kositthanakorn and has determined that he is qualified to serve as an elder. Decha comes from a Christian family and recommitted his life to Jesus since he has been attending ECB. Decha and his wife Juana are very involved with various ministries within ECB including volunteering in CrossTown, Intecessory prayer ministry, the ECB choir, Oasis, LIFE Groups and the Connection Centre. Decha’s desire is to serve God by serving the body of Christ, being a good role model, assisting the pastoral team and helping to oversee what is beneficial to the church. Decha is committed to Matthew 28:18-20 and strongly believes in the importance of making disciples who make disciples all around the world. If anyone knows of any reason why Decha is not qualified to serve in the capacity of elder, they are requested to inform the Elder Board via email at [email protected].
