This week's Life Group Questions

1) Read Romans 5:12-21 (consider reading in two or more versions, like NIV and New Living Translation, The Message, Good News Bible, God’s Word version, etc.)  What thoughts or questions came to mind as the Word was read?

2) What would your life be like if you were convinced of God’s forgiveness?
  • What would your self-esteem be like?
  • How would you respond to accusations?
  • What impact would it have on relationships?  Would you be more of a giver?
  • How eagerly would you forgive – before or after the apology?

3)What things in your life might show that you doubt God’s forgiveness?
  • In what ways do you give in to shame and guilt?
  • How do you respond to your own sin?  Other’s sin?

4)How does defensiveness deny the forgiveness of God?  Unforgiveness?  Inferiority?

5)In what ways do you allow others to diminish God’s forgiveness of you?
  • Do others’ opinions remind me of Adam’s nature in me?
  • What am I doing to counter that – to make the voice of Jesus louder when other’s disapprove?

6)How can we pray for ECB and for our group right now?
