  1. There are some common tendencies that prevent us from experiencing God’s peace. Which one do you struggle with the most? In what way?
    • ___ I seldom talk to God.
    • ___ I have stopped talking to God.
    • ___ I do not talk to God about every situation.  
    • ___ I complain to God rather than acknowledge His presence. 
    • ___ I accuse God of not listening to me rather than trusting in His timing. 
    • ___ When I start feeling anxious, the last thing I think about is to talk to God about it.
  2. What is one area in your life that is making you feel a little (or very) anxious? Why?
  3. Read Philippians 4:6-7 together out loud. Let the words resonate and speak to your heart before you pray together as explained in item 4 below.
  4. Pray together with your group and follow these steps:
    • Thank God for His love and for His caring presence in your life.
    • Renounce out loud any distorted perspectives that you have believed about God that are keeping you from experiencing His peace.
    • Talk to God about any area that is making you feel anxious.
    • Thank God in advance for what He will do in your life.
