This week's Life Group Questions
1. Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 in a version of the Bible you don’t normally use. Did anything new come to light?
2. Paul mentions four different groups of people in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23:
- The Jews
- Those under the law
- Those without the law
- The Gentiles
In your view, which group would have been the most challenging for him to win to Christ? Why?
3. What challenges might discourage you from crossing cultural boundaries to share the Gospel?
4. In your view, what do you need to adjust first, in order to reach people for Christ? Your mindset or your attitude, or both? Why?
5. Describe a time when someone from a different culture or ethnic group reached out to you with the Gospel. What was your general reaction?
6. The apostle Paul says that he became “all things to all men”, in order to win them for Christ. What do you think he meant by that? When have you ever desired to be “all things to all men”?
7. What opportunities do you have of going beyond cultural boundaries with the Gospel: Workplace? School? Club? Gym? Condo? Market?
What will be your strategy for engaging the people there?
8. Choose a friend and make time to pray together for a revival in your hearts. Ask God to reveal to you where He is already at work and is inviting you to join Him.
