1. REVIEW
In this study we learned that the Apostle Peter did not cave in to the sins that waged war against his soul because he knew who he was in Christ and knew that God called him to represent Him well in the world. In this section we will explore how you are facing the struggle with sin and embracing God’s call for your life.
2. APPLICATION
A. Have you ever met people who reject Christianity saying that the church is full of hypocrites?
B. What is one area in which you do not represent God well in the world? What can you do about it?

3. GET DEEPER
A. There are three needs of your soul that can only be satisfied by God. When these needs are not met, we try to compensate with behaviors that become sinful patterns. Which one is true of you?
____ Acceptance: I am afraid of being rejected.
____ Significance: I am afraid of failing in life.
____ Security: I am afraid of being abandoned.
B. When these three needs are met in God, we become free from the sinful patterns that hold us back. Which one of these three is true of you?
____ Acceptance: I know and feel that I belong to God and that He loves me deeply.
____ Significance: I know and feel that my life goal is to serve Him and represent Him well.
____ Security: I know and feel that God will never abandon me.
4. GROUP PRAYER
(1) Thank God for loving you and for calling you to live for Him.
(2) Ask God to reveal the root issues of some sinful desires that are pressuring you to cave in.
(3) Ask God to help you find in Him your true source of acceptance, significance, and security.
(4) Invite God to empower you to represent Him well in the world so that you can point people to Him.
