In this study we learned that God wants us to be driven by a love for God rather than by fear, shame, or selfish ambition. Only then we can become unhindered to run the race with joy and become unleashed for Kingdom impact. Let’s take a closer look at your motives.
2. APPLICATION
A. Mark True or False in the following assertions.
1) ___ I am afraid that God will punish me.
2) ___ I am afraid that God will not accept me into Heaven.
3) ___ I am afraid that God will punish my children for my faults.
4) ___ I have to do good things to make God happy with me.

3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
4 I will build you up again.”

(1) Thank God for his unfailing love.
(2) Renounce out loud before God any wrong motive that you have found in your heart (fear/shame/ambition).
(3) Invite God to transform your attitude and ignite a deep love for Him in your life.
(4) Thank God in advance for the way He will gently work in your life.
