For reflection and LIFE Group facilitation:

1. REVIEW

In this study we learned that distortion, worthlessness, and legalism have the power to keep you from the transforming joy that Jesus wants you to experience. Instead, God wants you to realize that He pursues you and desires to embrace you. When you live in His embrace, your life becomes a healing light in a world in darkness. Let’s take a closer look at your experience with God’s transforming joy.


2. APPLICATION

A. To what degree are these obstacles to transforming joy present in your life? Which one is the dominant?

1) Distortion: I am pursuing satisfaction away from God.

3. GET DEEPER

A. Read the very words of Jude 1:24-25.
According to Jude, what will Jesus do in your life (v.24)?

24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence
without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

B. What is one thing you need to do to rest in God’s embrace and experience his transforming joy?

4. GROUP PRAYER

a. Thank God for his unfailing love.

b. Renounce out loud before God any mindset you have allowed in your heart that has robbed you from God’s joy. (Seek satisfaction away from God/ Feeling worthless of His love/Legalism)

c. Invite God to restore His transforming joy in your heart and to help you rest in His embrace.

d. If you have never asked Jesus to save you, ask Him now to do so.

e. Thank God in advance for the way He will gently work in your life.
