1. REVIEW

In this study we learned that the Holy Spirit wants you to encounter Him as the Spirit of Life. He wants you to experience His transformation and peace. Let’s explore how this study connects with your life.

2. APPLICATION

A. There are only two realms of spiritual existence. Which one do you belong to?
___ Spiritual death: Jesus is not my Lord and Savior, and I do not have His Holy Spirit.
___ Spiritual Life: Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I am indwelled by His Holy Spirit.


B. Those who live in the realm of the Spirit of Life are defined by three facts.
Which one of these three do you struggle embracing?
___ Redemption: I doubt that all my sins are really paid for. I feel that I have to pay for my sins too.
___ Righteousness: I doubt that God’s ways are better. I often resist God because I don’t trust Him.
___ Resurrection: I doubt that God will really save me. I often fear death and what might happen to me.



3. GET DEEPER


A. Which one of these four changes is God prompting you to pursue? Tell us about it.
___ FAKE: I need to stop playing at religion and become indwelled by the Holy Spirit.
___ ASHAMED: I need to stop thinking that God is disgusted with me. My sin is paid in full.
___ STUBBORN: I need to stop resisting the Holy Spirit. His ways are always better.
___ FEARFUL: I need to stop fearing death. I have eternal life.



4. GROUP PRAYER:
(If you have never trusted in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can ask Him to save you now and invite the Holy Spirit into your life).

Holy Spirit,

a. Thank You for loving me and inviting me to encounter You in deeper ways.
b. I invite You to encounter me into my deepest places where I feel dry and drained.

c. Today, I renounce the fears and lies that I have believed about You and commit to trusting You fully.
- I renounce the lie that You are disgusted with me. Today I give You my shame and my guilt.
- I renounce the lie that I cannot trust You. Today I repent from resisting You. I submit to Your will.  
- I renounce the lie that I should be afraid of death. Today I trust You with my days and submit to your plan. Thank you for giving me eternal life and for all the amazing plans you have for my future.

d. I ask You to breathe your life into my life, until the day I meet You in Your presence. I thank you that in that day I will finally be free from all sin and death.
