The Evangelical Church of Bangkok (ECB) is in the process of searching for a Operations Manager to join the ECB Shared Services team in our pursuit of God’s vision for our ministry.

ECB was founded in 1966 by the Christian & Missionary Alliance and has over the past six decades grown from a preaching post for missionaries into a multicultural faith community of around 1,000 adults and 200 children from 65+ nations around the world. Next to the centrality of Jesus, ECB’s ministry is built on faithfulness to the Word of God, prayer as a matter of first importance and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
In line with Jesus’ desire for His church, ECB’s mission consists of making disciples for global impact. Central to this mission is ECB’s emphasis on age-appropriate discipleship programs (adults, students and children), LIFE groups (the smaller expression of the larger community of faith) and partnerships with various Christian NGO’s, through which ECB implements its missional strategy.
ECB’s faith community consists of many different cultural and denominational backgrounds, which gives the church a unique feel. ECB’s texture can be best described as one of passionate participation in corporate worship gatherings, hunger for spiritual growth and active participation by ministry volunteers.

International church ministry in a city like Bangkok comes with multiple opportunities and challenges. Shaping and maintaining a welcoming community as the foundation for discipleship, equipping followers of Christ for disciple-making in their everyday spheres of life and increasing ECB’s missional footprint are just three of the many opportunities for ECB in the coming years. International church ministry also comes with challenges, which include doing ministry in an intercultural and bilingual setting and the ongoing need to recruit ministry volunteers given the transient nature of the congregation.
ECB employs a full-time team of 28 people, including pastors (4), ministry leaders (4), office staff (7) and facility staff (13). The ministries are further supported by a committed team of ministry heads and hundreds of ministry volunteers.

B. Purpose of The Role
The Operations Manager empowers the ministries across ECB’s ecosystems by providing the operational and logistical support needed for ministry teams to thrive. This role ensures a safe, welcoming, and well-managed campus, aligning resources and services with ECB’s mission, vision, and values. Areas of oversight include Campus Maintenance, Campus Security, and Campus Operations.
C. Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager oversees the following areas:
1. Campus Maintenance & Security
a. Oversee campus maintenance and security to ensure a safe, clean, functional, and welcoming environment.
b. Develop and implement maintenance schedules, safety procedures, and security protocols in accordance with local regulations and ECB standards.
c. Oversee facility improvement projects, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other service providers as needed.
d. Supervise the team of three security guards to ensure 24/7 campus coverage, effective security practices, and emergency preparedness.
b. Develop and implement maintenance schedules, safety procedures, and security protocols in accordance with local regulations and ECB standards.

a. Optimize campus use to support ministry goals across ecosystems.
b. Lead the logistical and operational management of the campus, including Sunday services, special events, and daily activities.
c. Supervise the Campus Operations team (10 members), supported by the Campus Operation Lead, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of all ministry activities.
d. Coordinate logistical and operational support for weekly services, special events, and banquets across ecosystems.
e. Maintain positive and respectful relationships with ECB’s neighbors, addressing operational concerns and promoting good community relations.

2. Education and Experience
a. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality or a related field.
b. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role, overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
c. Expertise in facilities management, safety/security protocols, and operational oversight.
d. Experience in service industry is preferred but not mandatory.
e. Experience in a church, non-profit, or similar faith-based organization is preferred but not mandatory.
