Wednesdays have been set aside as a day of prayer and fasting for the ministries of ECB and to ask God for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit among us. You are invited to join in praying and fasting during one or all meals, or from something that is important to you. As you pray, remember ECB brothers and sisters that the Holy Spirit brings to mind, by name…
As a community of faith, may we increasingly be those who bless with our mouths, who seek and pursue peace with one another. May we love as brothers and be compassionate and humble towards one another (1 Peter 3:8).
For those among us who are experiencing trials of all kinds, I ask that You strengthen us by the Holy Spirit to be strong and courageous. May fear and discouragement disappear and a fresh realization of Your nearness in the midst of our adversities, overwhelm us (Joshua 1:9)!
I ask in Jesus’ mighty name, that You bring the hidden things in our lives to light, Father. Purify us and make us holy (Job 28:11).
I lift up those among us who are struggling with doubt, unbelief or depression and have lost their confidence in You Lord Jesus. Ask that You would keep the light of the Holy Spirit burning in their hearts – turn their darkness into light I pray (Psalm 18:28) (Pray for those you know, by name…)!
