Prayer Guide 08 March 2020
Sunday
Connecting my heart to the heart of the Father
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for bearing my sin on Your body on the cross, so that I might die to sin and live for righteousness. Thank You, that there is healing for me because of Your sacrifice.
Forgive me I pray, for the times that I take for granted the freedom and forgiveness I have in You, do not live for righteousness, and allow myself to become enslaved again to the yoke of sin. Have mercy on me Lord and heal me. By Your Spirit, teach me what it means to “live for righteousness†– to “seek righteousnessâ€, and live a life of repentance before You. And so…
Keep me from outwardly drawing near to You with words and actions and yet keeping my heart closed off to You. I ask, Lord Jesus, that You open every closed chamber of my heart – places I am even unaware of – and expose them by the light of Your Spirit. You alone can heal the broken and wounded places of my heart.
I ask that You, my Healer, grant me complete freedom in areas of my life that have not yet been captured by Your great love. Only You can bring healing to the hidden places of my heart and so I say ‘come Holy Spirit, change me until I am conformed to the image of Christ and all that is not like You falls away. Heal me and change me from the inside out.’
I praise You, Lord, for You are the One that heals me! I trust in You for healing of my body, mind and soul. These things I pray with confidence Lord Jesus, because of Your finished work on the cross.

In Jesus’ Name I confess and renounce the sin of… and thank You, that because of Your blood shed on the cross, I am forgiven. (Repeat this prayer for each thing the Holy Spirit brings to mind.)

Where I am blind to my own sin, restore my sight, I pray and lead me to repentance.
Where the enemy is oppressing me and holding me back from deeper relationship with You, release me Lord!
Where selfishness and self-focused living still rules over me, destroy pride and fix my gaze once again on You.
In Jesus’ Name I confess that I am a child of God, bought, paid for and forgiven by the precious blood of Jesus.

Praying the heart of the Father for the ECB Faith Community
Father God, capture our hearts again with the mystery and greatness of the work of Christ on the cross for our sins. May ‘first love passion’ for Jesus be restored in our fellowship – Revive us I pray (Psalm 85:6)!
Keep us from leaning on our own wisdom, but may we continually acknowledge You in all that we do. May we be found worthy of You and please You in every way and bear spiritual fruit in every good work. Strengthen us with power according to Your glorious might so that endurance and patience will increase (Colossians 1:9-11; Proverbs 3:5-6).

Tuesday
Father, I ask that You use Oasis Women’s Ministry to strengthen the faith of many and draw those who do not yet know You, to Jesus. Anoint those who teach, and may the love of Jesus be evident to all who come!
I ask, Father, that all unwholesome talk, slander and gossip be put to death among us and that we would increasingly edify, bless and build one another up. May all bitterness, rage and anger, and every form of malice be destroyed in Jesus’ name and kindness and compassion released in our faith community (Ephesians 4:29-32).

Wednesday
ECB Prayer and Fasting Focus
Wednesdays have been set aside as a day of prayer and fasting for the ministries of ECB and to ask God for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit among us. You are invited to join in praying and fasting during one or all meals, or from something that is important to you. To receive a weekly Prayer and Fasting e-mail, please contact [email protected].
Pray that resurrection power will infuse ministers of the Gospel around the world with fresh Spirit-life. Pray that there will be global, spiritual harvest from all Easter services and outreach events. Ask God to renew the Thai Church by His Spirit, and strengthen pastors.
Pray for our Youth as they head into their yearly retreat (13-15 March). Ask God to ready their hearts for the work of the Holy Spirit. Pray also for those attending from an international church in Cambodia. Pray that there will be unity and an out-pouring of the Holy Spirit.
May many be led to Jesus and Your love spread through the city of Bangkok through our lives. May Your favour rest upon us, Lord. Establish the work of our hands. Pray for all among us who work in places where they are the only salt and light. Ask for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on their lives that they might stand firm in love, and lead others to Jesus (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 51:18; Psalm 90:17).
Father, I ask that You give to us as Your people, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we might know You better! Open the eyes of our hearts Father (Ephesians 1:17-18)! (Pray this for those you know at ECB by name.)

Thursday
I pray for my brothers and sisters who are trapped in their minds by the pain of hurtful memories. I pray for healing in Jesus’ name and ask that their minds would be renewed and their living transformed (Isaiah 61:1; Romans 12:1-2).
May we, as Your people, stand firm and let nothing move us. May we always give ourselves fully to Your work. Encourage us, remind my brothers and sisters, that our labour for You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). (Pray for those in our fellowship that you know by name.)
Father, it is written that friendship with the world is hatred towards You. (James 4:4) Teach us, by Your Spirit, the balance of living in the world, but not belonging to the world (John 15:19). Keep our hearts from the love of the things of this world (1 John 2:15) (Pause and pray for those you know of by name from ECB, that they will have hearts that long for Jesus above all else).

Friday
We wait in hope for You, O Lord, for You alone are our help and our shield, it’s in You that our hearts truly rejoice! We trust in Your holy name. May Your unfailing love rest upon the people of ECB Father, even as we put our hope in You. Quiet every anxious heart I pray (Pray for those you know by name.) (Psalm 33:20-22).
You have said, Lord, that You will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask – Father, I ask! Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit! Pour out Your Spirit on my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB! Revive us – change us! Conform us to the image of Jesus (Luke 11:11-13; Psalm 85:6; Romans 8:29)!
I ask, Father, for fresh outpourings of the Holy Spirit on us as Your people, that our lives would be marked by brokenness and repentance, submission to Your will, and hunger for holiness and Your Word. Fill Your people afresh with the Holy Spirit!

Saturday
Father God, I pray for our pastors, and elders and deacons, that as they lead us, they will be given “wisdom that is from heaven, that is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.†(James 3:17) Strengthen them to serve with joy.
As we gather tomorrow, may each of us come before you with songs of thanksgiving and joy!
Father, I ask that You build this house called ECB – we do not want to labour in vain! In Your good pleasure, make ECB prosper. May many be led to Jesus and Your love spread through the city of Bangkok through our lives. May Your favour rest upon us Lord. Establish the work of our hands (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 51:18; Psalm 90:17).
