Sunday
Connecting my heart to the heart of the Father
Thank You, Father, that You touch nothing and leave it the same! Thank You for Your touch upon my life – encountering You, Lord Jesus, changed me forever! How I praise Your great name! Thank You, Jesus, that because of Your finished work on the cross, the confession of my mouth that You are Lord, and the assuredness in my heart that You have been raised from the dead – I have been made a new creation! The old has gone – what is new has come! Hallelujah (Pause and continue to praise God)!
Empower me by Your Spirit to continually choose to put off my old self and its deceitful desires, and choose to be made new in the attitude of my mind, putting on the new self, provided in Christ. For I have been created to be like You in righteousness and holiness! In every way, I invite You O Lord, to renew and change me this New Year, and I submit to Your hand of refinement in my life that I might be more like You.
Show me I pray, every residual way that I yet conform to the pattern of this world. May this day mark the beginning of radical obedience in my life.
I confess Father, that I love to soar on wings like eagles, or run and not grow weary. But it is the walking and not fainting, the daily faithful pilgrimage that wearies me. Forgive me, Father. Strengthen me. Make all things new, for my hope is in You. Once again, I set my heart on pilgrimage with You, my eyes on Your face Lord Jesus, and I consecrate my life to Your purposes as I step into this New Year. In the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew my mind, that the way I live might be transformed. Put to death old self-serving attitudes I pray and give to me the attitude of Christ Jesus.
Renew my heart, I pray. Take what is yet ‘stone’ and give me a heart that is totally ‘flesh’ – soft and pliable in Your hand.
Renew joy and gladness in my heart and life. Give me new songs to sing to You, that I might join with all of Your creation in pronouncing Your greatness, and not be silent! For You are great and greatly to be praised!
Renew my strength and determination to follow You, no matter the cost. Strength that is dependent on Your Spirit, and not my own flesh.

Praying the heart of the Father for the ECB Faith Community
Father, I ask that the gifts of the Spirit be released on us in greater measure, that there would be no lack in any area of ministry among us! Establish the work of our hands for kingdom purposes, I pray (1 Corinthians 12:12, 27)!
As we enter a New Year Father, may we increasingly be those who are sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not yet see. In all things, may faith rise up in us (Hebrews 11:1)!
Father, may the children and students of our fellowship grow strong in You and in Your mighty power. Protect them from the evil one and go before them in all things (Ephesians 6:10; John 17:15).

Tuesday
Father, enable us, the ECB faith community, to give generously above and beyond our tithes and offerings, that Your work might advance.
It is written that we should not “love the world or the things of the world’. Help us Lord! Increase our love for You, that everything else might diminish and Christ Jesus, increase (1 John 2:15)!
Father, for those among us who are unsure of the next step they should take, whether it is job related, or financial or relational – I ask that You instruct and teach my brothers and sisters in the way that they should go (Psalm 32:8) (Pray for those you know, by name…).
I ask Father, that You keep us from worry and fretfulness because of developing world events. May we increasingly be those who trust in You and do what is good – overcoming evil with loving good deeds. May Jesus be lived out through us in this way, I pray (Psalm 37:1, 3; Romans 12:21)!

Wednesday
Father, I pray for the many ministries of ECB and ask that as we enter a New Year, that Your Holy Spirit be poured out in greater measure upon us (Pray for our pastors, elders and deacons. Pray for Crosstown Children’s Ministry, Exchange students’ Ministry, Adelphoi Men’s Ministry, Oasis Women’s Ministry, Care Team Ministry, Prayer Ministry, Worship Arts Ministry, ECB Mission Partners, those who teach, our ushers and greeters…)!
Father, I ask in Jesus’ name that You give us fresh understanding of the authority that we have because of the blood of the Lord Jesus and His finished work on the cross. May we, as Your people, walk as ‘more than conquerors’ and strengthened in our faith (Psalm 44:5; Romans 8:37; Ephesians 6:10).

Thursday
Father, it is written that we, as Your people, should “throw off everything that hinders us, all sin that entangles us so that we can run the race of faith.” May we be increasingly radical about holiness and hold onto nothing that keeps us from following Jesus with all of our hearts (Hebrews 12:1-2).
Where there is depression or despair, discouragement or doubt among us, may it be dispelled in Jesus’ name and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit be poured out on our community of faith (Romans 15:13).

Friday
Pray that as God’s people, we will more and more become students of the Word – that the Word would dwell in us richly and truly be the standard by which we live and conduct ourselves, that Jesus would be seen in us with power.
Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are still struggling under a load of guilt and shame. Remind them, I pray, that there is no longer any condemnation – that You have removed their sin from them as far as the east is from the west! Silence the lies of the enemy and strengthen them to stand firm and be victorious (Romans 8:1; Psalm 103:12)!
Ask God to reveal to us in what ways we come near to Him with our lips (what we say or sing in His presence), but keep our hearts far from Him (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:8) (Pause and sit quietly before the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to show you these things in your own life as well..).

Saturday
Thank You, Father, that You are renewing us and changing us, that You are visiting us by Your Spirit and teaching us to be true worshippers. But Father, I ask for more! As we enter this New Year, O God, pour out Your Holy Spirit on us in greater and greater measure, I pray! Help us, Your people, to eagerly enter Your presence, to praise Your name without hesitation. Make us to be the kind of worshippers that You are seeking – those who worship You in spirit and in truth! Father, I ask that the Evangelical Church of Bangkok become a house of prayer. Teach us to pray by Your Spirit. Help us to love what You love. May we be built up in the love of Christ.
Be the “wall of fire around us and the glory within”. I ask in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that You rebuke the enemy and foil all his schemes in regard to our services tomorrow. Thank You that we are more than conquerors because of Jesus who loved us and gave Himself for us by the shedding of His blood. Pour out Your Spirit on us! Make us to be a people who draw near to You with our hearts. Keep changing us, O God, until we are conformed to the likeness of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and use us for Your Kingdom purposes. I ask all of these things in His Worthy name. Amen. Psalm 100; John 4:23; Mark 11:17; Zechariah 2:5; Matthew 16:18; Romans 8:37; Isaiah 29:13; Romans 8:29
