Prayer Guide 01 May 2022

Sunday

Father, You are great and most worthy of my praise! How awesome are Your deeds! I am grateful, and I bless Your holy name Lord, for I have seen You at work on my behalf, again and again, and I give You praise.

Thank You Father, for Your great and bountiful provision. I remember when I had great need, and You greatly provided (Pause and remember and give thanks).

Thank You Father, for Your strong protection. I remember when You spared my life from destruction (Pause and remember and give thanks).

Thank You, for leading me and guiding me, Father. I remember when I could not find my way, but I heard Your voice behind me saying, ‘this is the way, walk here’ (Pause and remember and give thanks).

Thank You, for seeking me and saving me from my sin, for the great gift of Jesus, my Redeemer. I remember what it was like to be lost, without hope – without You! Thank You, for shining the light of Your presence into my darkness and not treating me as my sin deserves (Pause and remember and give thanks)!

Teach me, by Your Spirit, to live with Your praise always on my lips, that I might not forget all that You have done for me. When I look back and remember how You have been with me, how Your hand has been on me, I am filled with gratitude and praise. You have been faithful, O Lord, faithful to all Your promises. Therefore, I will not fear, even though the very earth may give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, regardless of the storms I face, my hope is in You Lord, and Your unfailing love for me.

I ask Father, that You write new songs of worship on my heart, for You are worthy. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your Name and honour You. As I remember all that You have done in the past, increase my faith, Lord. Help me in my present weakness. Remove the shadows of doubt and forgive my unbelief, I pray. May all that I am, and all that I do flow out of a heart of worship and adoration for You.

For You are glorious O LORD, and I worship You alone.

Monday

Father, I ask that the gifts of the Spirit be released on us in greater measure, that there would be no lack in any area of ministry among us! Establish the work of our hands for Your kingdom purposes, I pray
(1 Corinthians 12:12, 27)!

Father, may the children and students of our fellowship grow strong in You and in Your mighty power. Protect them from the evil one and go before them into this new school year (Ephesians 6:10; John 17:15).

Tuesday

Father, it is written that we as Your people should “throw off everything that hinders us, and the sin that entangles us”, so that we can run the race of faith. May we be increasingly radical about holiness, and hold onto nothing that keeps us from following Jesus with all of our hearts (Hebrews 12:1-2).

It is written that we should not “love the world or the things of the world’. Help us Lord! Increase our love for You, that everything else might diminish and Christ Jesus, increase (1 John 2:15)!

Where there is depression or despair, discouragement or doubt among us, may it be dispelled in Jesus Name and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit be poured out on our community of faith (Romans 15:13).

Wednesday

Prayer and Fasting Focus
Father, I pray for the many ministries of ECB and ask that the Holy Spirit be poured out in greater measure upon us! (Pray for our pastors, elders and deacons. Pray for LIFE Group Ministry, Crosstown Children’s and Student Ministries, Oasis Women’s Ministries, Adelphoi Men’s  Ministries, Discipleship Ministry, Care Team Ministries, Prayer Ministry, ECB Mission Partners, and our ushers and greeters…)

Father, I ask in Jesus’ Name, that You give us fresh understanding of the authority that we have because of the blood of the Lord Jesus and His finished work on the cross:

May our identity be rooted in Jesus only…

May we as Your people, walk as ‘more than conquerors’…
(May all fear and timidity be replaced with holy boldness).

May we be strengthened in our faith…
(May all doubt and unbelief be banished in Jesus’ Name)!
(Psalm 44:5; Romans 8:37; Ephesians 6:10)

Thursday

(Consider praying this prayer out loud as you look out a window of your home or office)

Father, I declare Your Word over the city of Bangkok, that the earth is Yours, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it belong to You (Psalm 24:1)!

Thailand belongs to You Father! Bangkok is Yours Father! And Thai people are Your inheritance! This day, I pray that Your Name be exalted in this nation.

Pour out Your Holy Spirit and reveal Yourself to the hearts of the people of this country through dreams and visions, and through Your Church.

Use us, I pray, use me as a conduit of Your great love and compassion. May the love of Jesus be evident in my every word, in my countenance and actions.

Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit I pray, and empower me to be salt and light in the midst of darkness.

Lord Jesus, may You be exalted in this land! May You be glorified in this nation! For You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God – there is no other God besides You, and I ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.

Friday

Pray that as God’s people, we will more and more become students of the Word – that the Word would dwell in us richly, and truly be the standard by which we live and conduct ourselves, that Jesus would be seen in us with power.

Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are still struggling under a load of guilt and shame. Remind them I pray, that there is no longer any condemnation – that You have removed their sin from them as far as the east is from the west! Silence the lies of the enemy and strengthen them to stand firm and be victorious (Romans 8:1; Psalm 103:12)!

Saturday

Help us, Your people, to eagerly enter Your presence, to praise Your name without hesitation. Make us to be the kind of worshippers that You are seeking, those who worship You in spirit and in truth (Psalm 100; John 4:23)!

Help us to love what You love. May we be built-up in the love of Christ.

I ask in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that You rebuke the enemy and foil all His schemes in regard to our services tomorrow. Thank You that we are more than conquerors because of Jesus who loved us and gave Himself for us by the shedding of His blood.

Pour out Your Spirit on us! Make us to be a people who draw near to You with our hearts. Keep changing us, O God, until we are conformed to the likeness of Jesus.
