Prayer Guide 05 June 2022
Sunday
Reveal the hidden things of my heart, O God, and cleanse me deep within from all that is not of You. You are LORD Most High, and I submit to You alone…
Almighty God, loving Father, I join with the psalmist and proclaim “how awesome are Your deeds! Great and marvellous, just and true are all Your ways!” In You alone is the source of all wisdom for You are Truth. Thank You Father, for the promise of Your Word that You are the sure foundation for our times, a storehouse of salvation and wisdom and knowledge (Pause and bring your heart before the Lord. Worship Him for who He is).
Father I confess
Father I confess
O God, I confess that I lack wisdom for the many situations and circumstances in my life for which I have no answers. In all things, I ask for Your wisdom
(How do I live out my love for You in front of those who do not yet know You? Who mistreat me? What do I do Father, in the difficult marriage that I am in that will bring glory to You? What is keeping me from trusting You completely? From serving You with passion? How can I honour You with my finances? How should I address difficult situations in my workplace?)
I want to live as one who is wise, making the most of every opportunity for kingdom purposes and so I declare my dependence upon You alone. I ask that You give me wisdom from You that is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Do this I pray, that Jesus might be seen in me more and more.
I ask these things in His powerful name. Amen.

Father I confess
I have looked to the world for wisdom, which You have said is foolishness, instead of turning to You.
I have relied on my own limited wisdom and have leaned on my own understanding! Help me, I pray, to submit to You, to acknowledge You in all I do, seek Your counsel and shun all that is evil.
Father I confess
That by Your Spirit all self-righteousness and reliance, pride and arrogance be destroyed in my life (Pause and pray further).
That You give me spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that I may know You better, live a life that is worthy of You, please You in every way and bear spiritual fruit. Like the seven men who were set apart for service in the early church, may I become one who is known to be wise and full of the Spirit.

Monday
Lord Jesus, I ask that the gifts of the Spirit be poured out on us in even greater measure, that there would be no lack in the ministries of ECB. May all who serve do so with great joy, using what we have received from You to serve others (1 Peter 4:10).
Father, transform us by the renewing of our minds that we might not be conformed any longer to the patterns of this world. May we become increasingly radical in our desire for holiness! Purify us Lord (Romans 12:1-2)!

Tuesday
You are the God of all hope, Father. I pray that you will fill my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB with joy and peace that their hearts might overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Where there is depression or despair, discouragement or doubt, may it be dispelled in Jesus’ name and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit be poured out on their lives (Romans 15:13).
Ask God to give to each of us, creative ways to live out Jesus to our Thai neighbours and friends that in spite of language barriers Jesus might be proclaimed. Pray that a Gospel witness will grow in your neighbourhood! Pray for divine appointments. Ask God to increasingly make us bold and ready to give the reason for the hope that we have, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15) (Prayer-walk down the street you live on this week)!

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
Father, I ask that the ECB community of faith become increasingly generous in the way that we ‘sow’ into your work. Forgive us for thinking that what we have to offer is too small, or not enough. May our gifts, talents, time and money be multiplied to feed many (2 Corinthians 9:6; John 6:1-15).
Lord Jesus, I ask that You raise up from among us, those to minister to our children and youth, lead Life groups, practice hospitality. Raise up musicians, worship leaders and teachers. Raise up intercessors! May there be no lack among us!
Lord Jesus, may our love for one another at ECB be sincere. Keep us from being superficial and uncaring, but teach us by Your Spirit to be devoted to one another in brotherly love and to truly honour one another (Romans 12:9-10).
I pray for my brothers and sisters at ECB Lord, and ask that we might all ‘run the race’ in such a way as to be found worthy of the prize (1 Corinthians 9:27).
May our daily living display Christ in greater and greater clarity, and the imprint of Jesus be left on all we touch (Pray for those you know, by name)!

Thursday
ather, give to each of us a fresh understanding of the reason that we are here in Bangkok, and increase our determination to invest in the work of Your Kingdom.
I pray for our children and young people Father, and ask You to strengthen them to stand firm in their faith and make a difference for Your Kingdom in their respective schools. Protect them from the evil one (John 17:15) and strengthen them by the Spirit to follow You all the days of their lives.
Ask God to pour out His Spirit on His Church in your home country. Pray that the hearts of pastors will be revived! Ask for a ‘great awakening’ and spiritual harvest!

Friday
Father, may we be strong in You and in Your mighty power, and not put confidence in our own strength. May each of us daily wear the full armour that You have provided – may we ‘put on’ Jesus! Remind us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood and strengthen us to stand firm. Teach us to pray continually (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Father, I pray that those who are leading LIFE Groups will be empowered and anointed by Your Holy Spirit. Fill them with great joy and establish the work of their hands (Psalm 90:17)!
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ worldwide, who are facing persecution for their faith. Ask God to strengthen them by His Spirit. Pray that the Church of Jesus will grow and expand in spite of those who come against it.

Saturday
Father, I ask that those who come to ECB seeking answers about who You are and what it means to follow Jesus, be drawn by the Holy Spirit to salvation:
As we gather tomorrow, may Your Word go forth with power and accomplish all that You intend:
May each of us come before You tomorrow with songs of thanksgiving and joy (Isaiah 55:11; Psalm 100)!
May each of us extend the welcome of Jesus to those around us and may Jesus be so seen among us, that many will come to faith in Him.
May there be salvation in Your house tomorrow!
As we gather tomorrow, may Your Word go forth with power and accomplish all that You intend:
May we as Your people have ears to hear what Your Spirit would say to us.
Make our hearts ready for the seed of Your Word – Father, make me ready I pray!
May those who lead us in worship be empowered by Your Spirit.
May each of us come before You tomorrow with songs of thanksgiving and joy (Isaiah 55:11; Psalm 100)!
