Prayer Guide 24 July 2022
Sunday
Quiet your heart before you begin. Ask God to give you a willing spirit to hear and respond to His voice – to do His will (Psalm 51:12, James 1:22).
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for putting death to death, for paying the penalty for my sin! Thank You Lord for this great salvation (Pause and praise God for the forgiveness of your sin – remember the day of your salvation)!
Forgive me I pray, for every way that I continue to live a self-ruled, reactive life, disconnected from Your Lordship. Many times I have declared who You are, I’ve said the right words, I’ve sung the right words as I’ve worshiped with Your people, but I have not allowed You to rule my life or allowed Your presence to impact my living. I confess that I have come near you with my mouth, but have kept parts of my heart far from You.
I ask that the reality of Your presence in my life would consume me and change the way that I deal with sin and unbelief, callousness and fear.
Keep my eyes fixed on You Lord Jesus and what is not seen and eternal (Pause and allow the Holy Spirit to remind you of how to live with eternity in mind...).
Remind me that the things of this world are disposable, and keep me from storing up the things of this earth (Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what you need to give away or turn from…).
Teach me, prompt me, by Your Spirit to store up treasures in heaven, that are eternal and glorify You (Ask for opportunities to participate in eternal matters through your words and actions…).
Surely You are coming soon Lord Jesus! May I live with this reality in mind and pay attention to what is eternal and lasting. Give me an undivided heart, I pray, one that is not entangled in the affairs of this world.
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart, in all things, be pleasing to You, and Jesus clearly seen in and through me in such a way that Your name is glorified.
I invite You Father, Son and Holy Spirit, to change me from the inside out. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Monday
Father, Your Word says that You are looking throughout the earth for those whose hearts are fully committed to You, to strengthen them. Oh how I long for us to be fully committed people! Purge all lesser loves from our lives I pray, and may revival visitation of the Holy Spirit fall on us, that first-love passion for Jesus might be renewed in each of us. Revive us Father (2 Chronicles 16:9; Psalm 85:6)!
Father, may our eyes be continually fixed on Jesus, and may we walk in the freedom that He has provided for us (Hebrews 12:2; Romans 8:2). Keep us from returning to sinful patterns of behaviour.
Confirm Your Word among us with signs and wonders, that You, Lord Jesus, might be exalted and the unbelieving come to faith (Acts 4:29-30)!

Tuesday
Pray for those from our fellowship that you know by name. Pray that they will grow stronger in their faith, becoming more and more like Jesus.
Father, I pray for those among us with unbelieving spouses or prodigal children. Encourage them by Your Spirit I pray, as they wait for them to come to You. May Jesus be seen in them in such a compelling way, that their loved ones turn to You (Pray for those you know by name).
Father, may we like Mary, learn to sit at Your feet and not worry about the many things in our lives that press in around us. May we be strengthened to choose the ‘better way’ of intimate fellowship with You (Luke 10:41-42).

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
Father, teach us Your ways so that we may walk in Your path. May we be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and obedient (Micah 4:2).
Lord Jesus, I ask that You minister powerfully through those who teach our children and minister among our young people. May You be clearly seen and proclaimed and this next generation follow hard after You, walking in Your ways all the days of their lives.
Father, I ask that You give Your people rest. Free us from anxiety, worry and fear. May we be very aware that Your presence goes before us. May trust in You and faith in You rise up within us. May we truly rest secure in You, knowing that You are the One Who shields us (Exodus 33:14; Deuteronomy 33:12) (Pray for those you know, by name).

Thursday
Father, endurance and encouragement come from You. As we follow Christ Jesus together as a community of faith, may the spirit of unity among us increase (Romans 15:5).
Lord Jesus, I ask that You raise up from among us, those to minister to our children and youth, lead cell groups, practice hospitality, minister in Oasis Women’s Ministry. Raise up musicians, worship leaders, intercessors and teachers. May there be no lack among us! Release the gifts of the Spirit in greater measure, I pray.
Pray for Northeast Thailand, where there is the least Gospel influence. Ask God to raise up labourers to enter this harvest field. Pray that existing churches will be revived by the Spirit and grow.

Friday
I ask Lord, that You give us a hunger for Your Word. Push us deeper. I pray. that we might leave the elementary teachings of Christ and go on to maturity in Him (Hebrews 6:1).
Father, I ask that You strengthen us to endure hardship as Your loving discipline in our lives. Use the trials that we face, as we submit to You, to train us and make us holy (Hebrews 12:7-12).
Father, I pray that those who are leading LIFE Groups will be empowered and anointed by Your Holy Spirit. Fill them with great joy and establish the work of their hands (Psalm 90:17)! Father, grow us into a deeper fellowship and community through this ministry that we might be unified by Your Holy Spirit.

Saturday
Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who struggle with English and ask that as they listen to Your Word tomorrow, that it will be as if they are hearing it in their own language. May Your Word go forth in power and accomplish all that You intend.
Anoint our Pastor I pray – may those who lead us in worship be empowered by Your Spirit, those who come tomorrow who do not yet know You, be drawn to You, and O God, pour out Your Holy Spirit on us! Renew us! Revive us! Change Us!
May many be led to Jesus and Your love spread through the city of Bangkok through our lives. May Your favour rest upon us Lord. Establish the work of our hands (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 51:18; Psalm 90:17).
Pray that all of us will use our gifts for the benefit of the body of Christ so that the ministries of ECB will lack nothing.
