Prayer Guide 31 July 2022
Sunday
Quiet your heart before you begin. Ask God to give you a willing spirit to hear and respond to His voice – to do His will. (Psalm 51:12, James 1:22)
Father, thank You for Your great mercy and love for me! Continue to help me to understand by the power of Your Spirit, the magnitude of Your compassion. May it compel me to live in such a way that is holy and pleasing to You, that I might worship You in all I do (Pause and pray further).
Forgive me Lord, for allowing complacency to enter into my walk with You and pave the way in my heart for conformity to the things of this world, rather than conformity to the likeness of Jesus. Open my eyes, Lord! May the Holy Spirit with all of His convicting power, reveal and uncover the hidden places of my life that are more like the world than like Christ.
Forgive me:
Father, I do not want to be conformed any longer to the patterns of this world – I want to be shaped by You! Renew my mind, I pray. I invite Your Holy Spirit to change the very way I think – cleanse my thoughts O Lord!
Empower me, prompt me by Your Spirit to turn off or walk away from the noise of this world and feast on You. Give me a fresh hunger for Your Word, I pray. May I be disciplined in my pursuit of You in the way I live, in my speech, and what I allow my mind to dwell upon. Do this I pray, that I might be able to know what is Your good, pleasing and perfect will, and live in such a way that is worthy of bearing Your name.
Strengthen me to obey, Father, for my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak, and I confess my great need of You alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Forgive me:
For giving into hopelessness and despair as I listen to the unfolding of world events and allow Your greatness and sovereignty to diminish.
For the ways that I have accepted the standard of the world as true in regards to conduct, speech and morality, instead of the standard of Your Word.
For allowing myself to be caught up in the frenzied pace of this world and the desire for more of what will not last or satisfy, while ignoring what is eternal.
O gracious Father, forgive me (Pause and pray further).

Monday
Father, transform us by the renewing of our minds that we might not be conformed any longer to the patterns of this world. May we become increasingly radical in our desire for holiness and guard our every thought (Romans 12:1-2).
Keep us from pride that kills the work of Your Spirit and hardens our hearts to Your voice calling us to ‘run home’ to You. Give to us, I pray, the gift of brokenness and repentance. May we be clothed in humility (Luke 15:11-32; 1 Peter 5:5).
May ‘first love passion’ for Jesus be restored in our fellowship – Revive us I pray (Psalm 85:6)!

Tuesday
Destroy every deed of darkness among us and may we put on the armour of light, clothing ourselves with Jesus only! Reveal the hidden things Father! Purify us and make us holy (Romans 12:9; 13:12-14)!
May we not resist the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives Lord! Keep conforming us to the image of Jesus (Romans 8:29).
I ask Father, that the seeds of the Gospel that have been sown into the nation of Thailand for many decades, would be watered by Your Spirit, spring forth and produce spiritual fruit! Give us a harvest of souls!

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
Praise God for His great love for us! Thank Him, that because we are in Christ, He has removed our sin from us, as far as the east is from the west! Proclaim “Your love endures forever!” (Psalm 103:12; 2 Chronicles 20:21-22) (Pause and give thanks for the ways that you have witnessed His enduring love in your life).
Father, I ask in Jesus’ name that You remove all spiritual blinders from our eyes. Open our hearts and minds to recognize the encroachment of sin in our lives. In our love for Jesus, may we be radical in our pursuit of holiness (Psalm 19:12-14; 69:5).
May those who minister among us be reminded and encouraged that their labour for You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) (Pray for those in our fellowship that you know, by name).

Thursday
I pray for my brothers and sisters who are trapped in their minds by the pain of hurtful memories and ask that You heal every broken heart in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 61:1).
Father, may addictions of all kinds be broken off of our lives so that we might serve You wholeheartedly. I pray for my brothers and sisters who are struggling and ask that they be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, to submit to You, so that they are able to resist the evil one (James 4:7).
Enable us by Your Spirit to extend mercy to people in every kind of need (Hebrews 13:16; Philippians 2:4; Jude 22-23).
Father, I ask that Your Word would dwell in us richly, that we would overflow with Your Word (Colossians 3:16; 1:19-20).

Friday
Father, protect us from the love of money. May we be increasingly content with what we have, knowing that You will never leave us – that You are our help and we need not fear (Hebrews 13:5-6).
You have said Lord, that You will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask – Father, I ask! Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit! Pour out Your Spirit on my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB! Revive us – change us! Conform us to the image of Jesus (Luke 11:11-13; Psalm 85:6; Romans 8:29)!
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ worldwide, who are facing persecution for their faith. Ask God to strengthen them by His Spirit. Pray that the Church of Jesus will grow and expand, in spite of those who come against it.

Saturday
Father, prepare the hearts of Your people today to worship You tomorrow. Prepare my heart I pray! Make our hearts ready for the seed of Your Word and may each of us come before you with songs of thanksgiving and joy!
Father, I ask for a fresh anointing and empowering of the Holy Spirit to rest upon our pastors and those who will lead us in worship tomorrow. Strengthen them with joy I pray. May Your Word go forth with power.
Ask God to breathe new life into our community of faith by His Spirit, so that we might worship Him for who He is. Pray that we will increasingly praise Him and give Him the glory that He is due. Ask the Holy Spirit to sponsor new songs of praise and worship among us.
(Continue praying as the Holy Spirit leads you).
