Prayer Guide 30 October 2022
Sunday
Lord Jesus Christ this day, I praise You and thank You for who You are – the very image of the invisible God, the Word made flesh! You are the first over all that has been created, and it is by You and for You that all things were created in heaven and on earth. All things visible and invisible – all thrones, powers, rulers and authorities. You reign and rule over all! You are before all things, and it is in You that all things hold together! You, Lord Jesus, are the head of the body, the Church, and I submit to You. You are the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything, You might reign supreme over all. For it pleased God the Father, to have all of His fullness dwell in You, and now I’ve been given fullness in You, Lord Jesus! Although I was once alienated from God the Father, You have reconciled me to Yourself by Your physical body through death, that I might be presented in the sight of God as if I have never sinned – washed clean of the stain of my sin, my sin-debt paid in full because of Your blood shed on the cross, and I stand before You without accusation! Hallelujah! You, Lord Jesus Christ, have disarmed all powers and authorities in heavenly places. You made a public spectacle of them by Your triumph at the cross! All authority in heaven and earth has been given to You and because my faith is in You alone, I share in Your authority!
Therefore Father, this day, I take my stand in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ against the temptations of the evil one. I offer myself to You alone, for You have brought me from spiritual death to spiritual life in Christ Jesus. I offer my very body to You as an instrument of righteousness and choose to not give in to sin that entices. I will not set my foot upon the pathway of the wicked.
Holy Spirit, I ask that You would work in me in such a way, that I will become increasingly self-controlled and alert. May I be aware of the snares of the enemy and discerning of the ways that he would seek to steal Your work in my life. May I firmly resist all temptation and stand firm in my faith.
In the midst of all trials may I choose to be thankful, knowing that You are using all things for my good, and that the testing of my faith will develop within me, perseverance. May it be so even this day, for I submit to You and Your perfect will for me and I pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Monday
Father, may we as Your people, be increasingly aware that every battle in our lives is not ours, but belongs to You. May we realize this day, that our real struggle is not against what we can see with our eyes, but with what is unseen – the powers of this dark world, the devil – who waits for an opportunity to steal, kill and destroy Your work in our lives (2 Chronicles 20:15; John 10:10). Wake us up to the battle Lord!
Father, forgive us for we have not been self-controlled and alert. We’ve allowed ourselves to be lulled into complacency by the noise and distractions of the world and have not resisted the enemy. Your Word admonishes us to stand firm in our faith, that if we do not, we will not stand at all. Lord, teach us to stand (1 Peter 5:8-9; Isaiah 7:9).
Father, as You have instructed, may we choose to put on Your full armour so that we might stand against the devil’s schemes and stand our ground when the day of evil comes upon us – that we might be strong in You and Your mighty power! May we choose to ‘put on’ Jesus (Ephesians 6:10-13)!

Tuesday
Help us to stand firm with the belt of truth buckled securely around our waists. Jesus, You are the way and the truth and the life… May we turn from all false teaching and philosophies of this world and put on Jesus, the Truth (Ephesians 6:14; John 14:6; Colossians 2:8).
May we as Your people put on the breastplate of righteousness – Jesus, there was no sin found in You, yet You took our sin on Yourself so that we might become the righteousness of God! This day, may we turn from all sin that entangles us and holds us back (Ephesians 6:14; Philippians 3:8-16; Hebrews 12:1).

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
May we be increasingly aware of the cunning schemes of the evil one. May we be wise and aware every time we turn on our computers or TVs and as we walk the streets of Bangkok. May we truly hate all that is evil and run to, cling to, everything that is good! May our eyes be fixed on Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:11; 11:3; Hebrews 12:2; Romans 12:17)!
Father I thank You for the children and youth of our fellowship, thank You for those who are teaching our children about you. Strengthen and encourage them, and may the love of Jesus be clearly seen in their lives. May our children walk in Your ways all the days of their lives and follow hard after You. Protect them from the evil one (Deuteronomy 10:12; John 17:15)!

Thursday
May we choose today to fit our feet with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Lord Jesus, You are our peace, for You have destroyed the barrier that was between us and God the Father! Make us ready to give the reason for the hope that we have. Give us divine appointments and opportunities to share the love of Jesus with those around us (Ephesians 6:15; Ephesians 2:13-18)!
May we take up the shield of faith today, Father, so that we might be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows, and attacks of the evil one. Increase our faith in You alone, Lord! Renew hope and trust in Your name and loving faithfulness! (Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB that you know by name…) May our faith in You increase as we hear Your Word and put it into practice – for You Lord Jesus are the author and perfector of our faith (Ephesians 6:16; Galatians 2:20; Romans 10:17; James 1:22-25).
May we put on the helmet of salvation and declare that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved from our sin! You, Lord Jesus, are the Christ, the Son of the Living God! Jesus, You are our salvation! Father, may we as Your people be overwhelmed with the joy of the salvation that we have in You (Ephesians 6:17; Acts 4:12; Matthew 16:16’ Psalm 51:12)!

Friday
This day, Lord, strengthen my brothers and sisters who are being tempted, to take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and proclaim, Lord Jesus, that You are the Word made flesh, and You will accomplish all that You intend – that all authority in heaven and earth belong to You, and because we are in Christ, we share in that authority! Hallelujah! The enemy is under our feet (Ephesians 6:17; John 1:14; Isaiah 55:11; Matthew 28:18; Matthew 22:14)!
Father, may we as Your people, choose today, to clothe ourselves with Christ, to be alert and ready to pray, to pray in the Spirit no matter the occasion or situation that we are in, praying with all kinds of prayers and requests. May we become those who are increasingly faithful in prayer (Ephesians 6:18; Romans 12:12).
May we put on Christ Jesus and take our stand! May Your power that is at work in us this day, be mighty! Strengthen us by Your Spirit, Lord, that we would rise up and be mighty men and women, for the purposes of Your Kingdom!

Saturday
May we not come near to You tomorrow with our mouths, but keep our hearts from You (Isaiah 29:13). May the words that we pronounce and sing to You be true expressions of love and adoration from our hearts. May You receive the glory that is due Your great name (Psalm 29:2)!
May Your Word go forth with power and anointing by the Holy Spirit and accomplish all that you intend. Give us ears to hear what the Spirit would say to Your Church, make our hearts ready to receive the Word. Make my heart ready to hear and obey!
