Prayer Guide 19 February 2023
Sunday
Father, thank You for sending the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, to teach me and remind me of the things that Jesus said. Thank You for His presence with me—forever. Thank You Holy Spirit, for Your help in my weakness – that when I don’t know what or how I should pray, You intercede for me in accordance with the Father’s will.
Holy Spirit, I ask that my heart might be made increasingly tender, sensitive to Your promptings. Forgive me for the times that I resist or ignore You. I ask that You remove any hardness of heart that still remains in me, and give me a heart of flesh. Reveal even the hidden sin in my life as I wait on You… (Pause and wait, confess those things the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.)
Your Word promises that You, heavenly Father, will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask You, and so I ask Father, as Your child – fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit! (Pause and wait before the Lord, personalize this prayer and those that follow, and make them your own.)
Empower me by Your Spirit to live victoriously for You, Lord Jesus Christ, that as I am in the world, I may not ever be of the world.
May the fruit of the Spirit be evident in my life in ever-increasing measure (Pause and consider to what degree the following are present in your daily living: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Commit to God those things that the Holy Spirit reveals to you).
May I truly walk in the Spirit, so that the desires and passions of my sinful nature are destroyed. Strengthen me by Your Spirit to stand firm against the enemy and to persevere and do Your will.
Like the early disciples, may my life be characterized by fullness of joy, and the presence of the Holy Spirit, so that Jesus will be seen more clearly in me and through me, and my life bring glory to Your name. This is the longing of my heart. I ask these things in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Monday
Father, I know that You have called us as Your people to totally embrace life in accordance with Your Word. I ask that as Your people, we will enter into a radical and continual renewing of our minds, that our living might be transformed and we might be able to clearly discern Your will (John 14:15; Romans 12:1-2).
Pray that the ‘seeds’ of the Gospel that have been sown into this nation for decades and are dormant in the ground will be watered by the Spirit, come forth and produce fruit.
Pray that righteousness will prevail in the nation of Thailand. Pray that the hearts of those in political positions will be drawn to Jesus. Pray that Jesus will be revealed to the hearts of Thai people in dreams and visions and through the testimony of His Church.

Tuesday
I ask Father, that cultural preferences be set aside and that we will be increasingly unified under the culture of Christ. Make us one (John 17)!
Pray that those presenting the Gospel through the ministries of ECB and in the nation of Thailand would see increase in spiritual harvest! “Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honoured, just as it was with you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:1) Pray that we will become prepared for end-time harvest!

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
This week, let us give a praise offering to the Lord for all that He is doing among us! Pray this prayer and add to it those things that you see God accomplishing among us, and give thanks! Consider praying this prayer out loud.
I praise You, O God, for what You are doing among us, Your people, at Evangelical Church of Bangkok, for we are the sheep of Your pasture! You are turning our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, by Your Spirit.
I praise Your name! You are restoring to us the joy of our salvation. Yes! Joy and gladness are being restored to Your people, and I praise Your name! Only You can do these things! You are releasing the tongues of your people to sing of your righteousness and declare Your praise! You are renewing our hearts of worship! I praise Your name, O God! You are teaching us to love what You love, and changing us by the presence of the Holy Spirit and the power of Your Word. I praise Your name, for only You can do these great things! Only You can breathe the life of Your Spirit into dead places! Only You can revive and transform Your church! I praise You for You are rebuilding us! I will praise You forever for what You have done; and in Your name I will hope, for Your name is good. I will praise You in the presence of Your people! (Psalm 51, 52)

Thursday
Father, may we not give the enemy a foothold in our lives by holding onto anger (Ephesians 4:26; 4:2). Set us free from the need to be right. May our relationships be increasingly marked by humility.
May our eyes be fixed on what is unseen and eternal – increase our longing for heaven and for You – that earth would hold nothing that we desire (2 Corinthians 4:18; Psalm 73:25).
Pray that a Gospel witness will grow in your sphere of influence!
Pray for divine appointments.
Ask God to increasingly make each of us bold and ready to give the reason for the hope that we have, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
Pray for those who God has placed in your life, who do not yet know Jesus by name.
Pray that they will see Jesus in you, in your actions, words – your very countenance.

Friday
Lord Jesus, our times are filled with such evil. May we, as Your people, be careful in the way that we live and wise in all that we do. Help us to make the most of every opportunity for the purposes of Your Kingdom (Ephesians 5:15-16). Pray for those at ECB that you know by name, that they will be protected from the evil one.
I ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You, by Your Spirit, unify and strengthen my Thai brothers and sisters in this city (in this land) to be salt and light. Pour out Your Spirit on Your Church here, I pray. Revive the hearts of Thai pastors. May Your Word go forth with power and anointing!
Ask God to energize us by His Spirit, that we might not be lethargic or overwhelmed in engaging the communities around us. Pray that we will increasingly be counter-cultural, radical followers of Jesus Christ. Ask God to give us every place that we set our feet for the sake of the Gospel (Joshua 1:3)!

Saturday
As we gather as Your people, may the walls of ECB resound with the praise of Your great name! May strongholds of unbelief and doubt be broken, and may there be salvation in Your house! Lead those who are searching, to salvation through Jesus.
Be the wall of fire around us, and the glory within us, I pray. May glorious praise, thanksgiving and worship be unleashed among us, and Your name and Your word exalted (Zechariah 2:5; Psalm 138:2).
Father, give us, Your Church, ears to hear what You would say to us through the preaching of Your Word (Revelation 2:29).
Prepare my heart today, Holy Spirit, for all that You have for me as I worship with Your people tomorrow. Change me and make me more like Jesus.
