Prayer Guide 09 April 2023
Sunday
Lord Jesus, it is written that You are the resurrection and the life and that if anyone believes in You, they too will live! Jesus, I believe! You are the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Saviour of the world, Who was raised from the dead, has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand – with angels, authorities and powers in submission to You! Hallelujah!! You have conquered death and the grave!
Lord Jesus, I want to truly know You and experience resurrection power in my daily living. Show me what this means and teach me by Your Spirit.
In light of this resurrection power, I ask You to change the way that I live – the way that I think, talk, react – everything about me. Transform me, I pray, that my life may be characterized by ever increasing boldness and confidence in You and be a true reflection of Jesus in me – for my Saviour lives!
By Your Spirit, empower me to live with resurrection power, above the circumstances and daily situations that surround me, for I know that I have been raised with You through my faith in the power of God the Father, Who raised You from the dead!
Thank You, Jesus, for forgiving all of my sins and cancelling everything that was against me and stood opposed to me. Thank You, for taking it all away – every evil act, every lie and deception – all of it, gone! Nailed to the cross! Thank You, Jesus, for disarming the powers of darkness and making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross! How I praise God the Father, that You have been raised from the dead! For I know that if You had not been raised, my faith would be futile and I would still be dead in my sins. But thanks be to God! The victory over sin is mine through You, Lord Jesus! Hallelujah! For I have been made alive with You – raised up from the death-grip of sin, and seated with you in heavenly places!
Hallelujah! What a Saviour! Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus!
Amen and amen!

Monday
May we, as Your people Father, be built up in love, each of us doing our part as the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:13, 16). Pour out the giftings of the Spirit on us I pray, that every need might be met!
May those in our community of faith who are hard pressed on every side, be encouraged by Your Spirit to stand firm. Strengthen them, I pray (Pray for those you know of by name who are experiencing trials…).
I ask, Father, that our faith community might be marked by blameless living. May we walk according to Your Word and fully obey Your precepts (Psalm 119:1-4)!

Tuesday
Protect Your people from hollow and deceptive philosophies of the world. May we be dependent on Christ alone! Renew us from the inside out – may we think on only those things that are excellent and praiseworthy (Colossians 2:8; Philippians 4:8).
Father, I pray for those in our congregation who have unbelieving spouses or prodigal children. I ask that you encourage them by Your Spirit. Strengthen them to live out Jesus in gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
Strengthen Your Church in Bangkok, Father, for the earth is Yours, O God – Bangkok belongs to You! May Your name be great in this city! Strengthen my brothers and sisters across Bangkok to rise up and be salt and light and the aroma of Christ (Psalm 24:1).

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
This week, let us give a praise offering to the Lord for all that He is doing among us! Pray this prayer and add to it those things that you see God accomplishing among us, and give thanks! Consider praying this prayer out loud.
I praise You, O God, for what You are doing among us, Your people, at Evangelical Church of Bangkok, for we are the sheep of Your pasture! You are turning our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, by Your Spirit. I praise Your name! You are restoring to us the joy of our salvation. Yes! Joy and gladness are being restored to Your people, and I praise Your name! Only You can do these things! You are releasing the tongues of your people to sing of Your righteousness and declare Your praise! You are renewing our hearts of worship! I praise Your name, O God! You are teaching us to love what You love, and changing us by the presence of the Holy Spirit and the power of Your Word. I praise Your name, for only You can do these great things! Only You can breathe the life of Your Spirit into dead places! Only You can revive and transform Your church! I praise You for You are rebuilding us! I will praise You forever for what You have done; and in Your name I will hope, for Your name is good. I will praise You in the presence of Your people (Psalm 51, 52)!

Thursday
Pry our fingers off of the things of this world, Lord. May we not love the world, but may our love for You increase (1 John 2:15)!
May each of us, Father, use the gifts that You have given to us to serve others, that we might be faithful in dispensing Your grace (1 Peter 4:10).
Open the eyes of our hearts and reveal the hidden things, for You have said that You desire truth in our inmost parts. Show us, Lord, show me where I am still withholding my heart from You (Ephesians 1:18; Job 28:11; Psalm 51:6).
Father, make ECB to be a community of faith that truly lives by the Spirit and keeps in step with the Spirit. May we not in any way put out the Spirit’s fire, but rather, fan into flame the gift of God that is in each of us (Galatians 5:25; 1 Thessalonians 5:19; 2 Timothy 1:6)!

Friday
May we become radical in the way that we follow after You Lord Jesus, radical in the way that we turn from sin, radical in our obedience, radical in our acts of love.
Jesus, You said that we are to make disciples of all nations – show us this way! Surely You have put us here in Bangkok at this point in time for Your plans and purposes. Increase the harvest among us! May many come to Jesus! And yes Lord, give us the nations (Matthew 28:19)!
Father, I lift up our students to You, may they follow hard after You all the days of their lives. Guard their hearts by Your Spirit that they might not love the world or the things of the world.
Father, I ask that You set prisoners free who are among us – those who are captured by strongholds of sin. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind I pray, and lift up those who are weighed down with care (Psalm 146:7-8).
Holy Spirit, change us and renew us!

Saturday
Father, I ask that the Holy Spirit be poured out on the ECB campus, on my brothers and sisters in Christ – on all who enter the worship centre! Pour out Your lavish love, convict of sin, change and transform us.
May our celebration of the Resurrection of Christ Jesus, lead us into greater expression of His resurrection power in our daily living! May we as an entire faith-community walk in the victory of the empty tomb!
Speak powerfully through our pastors, and may we as Your people have ears to hear what Your Spirit would say to us. Anoint our Pastor I pray!
Pray for those who are seeking the Truth and will be visiting ECB tomorrow. Ask God to open the eyes of their hearts and draw them to Himself. Pray that there will be salvation in the house of God!
