Prayer Guide 30 April 2023
Sunday
(Before you begin, sit quietly and ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you for ‘divine appointments’ and make you ready to give the reason for the hope that you have. Commit yourself to be in the harvest)
Heavenly Father, how thankful I am that Your faithful love endures forever! Thank You for lavishly pouring out Your love on me through Your Son Jesus Christ (Pause and ask for a fresh revelation of God’s lavish love for you).
Forgive me Lord, for I confess that I have not loved others as You have loved me. Soften my hard heart. I confess Father, that more often than not, I look at the circumstances of the world around me and the people I encounter, and am filled with hopelessness and despair, even anger. Forgive me, I pray.
Although I would say that the Gospel, salvation through Jesus, is good news, that it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, the reserve of my witness and the withholding of Your life within me from others, says otherwise. Forgive me, Lord, for allowing my heart to grow cold towards those who are lost all around me. Fill me with Your love and compassion I pray (Pause and pray for those in your life who do not know Jesus. Ask for His compassion and love to be expressed through your life).
Father, may I be one who has the privilege of teaching others Your ways and seeing people turn to You. May Gospel proclamation be restored in my life! Make me, by Your Spirit, to always be prepared to give the reason for the hope that I have, and may I do so with gentleness and respect. Give me a passion, like the apostle Paul, for those who so desperately need You, and may the Gospel story burn within me and compel me to proclaim Your greatness and goodness and the salvation found in Christ Jesus (Pause and pray further)!
My sins have been forgiven! My debt has been paid! There is no account held against me – I have the righteousness of Christ! Hallelujah! May the wonder of this incredible message that You, Lord Jesus, Who never sinned, became the sin-offering for me, for all, recapture my heart and transform my living until Jesus is seen in all I do, and the aroma of His presence apparent in my actions and conversations.
I want to love what You love, O God. Do this in me, I pray, for the sake of a world that is dying without You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Monday
‘ECB is a biblical community…’ Father, I ask that the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace increase among us. May we serve like Jesus and consider one another as more important than ourselves. May our hearts be knit together as one (Ephesians 4:3; Philippians 2:1-11).
Father, May revival visitations of the Holy Spirit fall on us, change us, renew us, I pray (Ezekiel 37:5)! May we not resist the Holy Spirit in any way.
Father, I lift up our elders and pastors to you and I ask that as they lead us they will be given wisdom that is from heaven, that is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17)

Tuesday
‘…of the nations to the nations…’ How thankful I am for the privilege of worshiping with brothers and sisters from many lands. May we increasingly put aside cultural preferences, I pray. Unite us under the banner and cross of Christ. May the Word of God be our one true standard. And Father, allow us the privilege of sowing into the nations represented among us!
You are the God of all hope Father. I pray that You will fill my brothers and sisters in Christ at ECB with joy and peace that their hearts might overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13) (Pray for those you know by name).

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
‘…with prayer and the Word of God as our foundation.’ You have said, Lord, that Your house is to be a ‘house of prayer for all nations. Father, teach us to pray at ECB, to really enter into a deeper longing for You- greater faith, greater fervency. Make us to be a true house of prayer (Mark 11:17). teach us to pray!
Father, You are our healer and I come to You on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are suffering physically. May Your healing power be poured out on them, I pray. Strengthen and renew them. May all sickness be gone in Jesus’ Name. I pray especially for… (pray for those you know of by name…).
Increase our boldness in speaking Your Word, Father, and confirm Your Word among us with signs and wonders, that You Lord Jesus might be exalted, and the unbelieving come to faith (Acts 4:29-30)!
Father, I ask that Your Word would dwell in us richly, that we would overflow with Your Word (Colossians 3:16; 1:19-20).

Thursday
‘…We are called to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ…’
Lord Jesus, be exalted among us as we gather and worship, as we meet in homes, at our places of work, school and play. Be exalted, be glorified in our conversations, in the choices that we make, and the places we go. Whether we eat or drink or whatever it is that we might do. May we always be mindful that we belong to You, and do all things for Your glory alone (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Reveal to us, I pray, the things that keep us from truly drawing near to You (Psalm 119:2; Matthew 6:33).
As a community of faith, may we increasingly be those who bless with our mouths, and pursue peace with one another. May we love as brothers and be compassionate and humble towards one another (1 Peter 3:8-12).

Friday
‘…serve each other…’ Lord Jesus, teach us to follow Your example and serve one another. May we prefer one another out of love for You and serve one another with joy (John 13:1-5; Philippians 2:1-11)!
Renew our minds, I pray. May we, as Your people, turn from the philosophies and entertainment of the world and truly think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy – may this be the standard for what we allow into our minds and hearts (Philippians 4:8).
Father, I pray that those who are leading LIFE Groups will be empowered and anointed by Your Holy Spirit. Fill them with great joy and establish the work of their hands (Psalm 90:17)! Father, grow us into a deeper fellowship and community through this ministry that we might be unified by Your Holy Spirit.

Saturday
‘…and reach the world.’
O God, You who holds all things together, and the nations in Your hand; You who in Your sovereignty has placed me here, in Bangkok, at this time in history; whose plans and ways are perfect – I submit to You. Your will is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance, and in accordance with Your will, I ask that this would be so among us. May we, the church called ECB, grow through new converts. May the Gospel be presented to the lost among us with power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction, not only through words, but by our very lives. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity, that we might constantly spread everywhere the fragrance of Christ. Allow us, I pray, allow me, to be part of end-time harvest, that Jesus, the Lamb, might receive the reward for His suffering. I ask all of this in His mighty name. Amen (Colossians 1:17;
Isaiah 46:11; James 4:7; 2 Peter 3:9; Acts 2:47; 1 Thessalonians 1:5; Colossians 4:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15).
Jesus, You said that we are to make disciples of all nations – show us this way! Increase the harvest among us! May many come to Jesus! And yes Lord, give us the nations (Matthew 28:19)!
