Prayer Guide 04 June 2023
Sunday
Consider kneeling or maintaining a posture of humility as you pray. Choose to humble yourself before the Lord.
Lord Jesus Christ, I am so very aware that it is in You and because of faith in You, that I have freedom and confidence to approach God the Father. Every eternal purpose has been accomplished in You alone through Your death and resurrection. You have left nothing undone. Thank You, Lord!
Father, I kneel before You this day with a grateful heart for all that You have provided for me through Christ – forgiveness of every sin, eternity with You, and for bestowing on me Your family name and welcoming me as a dearly loved child (Pause and continue to give thanks)!
I come to You as Your child, asking that out of Your storehouse of glorious riches, You would strengthen me with power through the Holy Spirit at the deepest place of my being. Do this, I pray, that I might become more like Jesus and His character and His beauty be released through my life (Pause and make this prayer your own).
I thank You, Father, for the indwelling presence of Christ Jesus in my heart and life, but I ask that every area of my heart that has remained blocked-off to His presence and Lordship, be opened wide by the Holy Spirit. I submit to You, Lord Jesus, and ask that You rule and reign over all of my heart (Pause and allow the Holy Spirit to show you areas of your living that are yet untouched by the Lordship of Jesus. Submit these to Him)!
Thank You, Father, for establishing me in the love of Jesus – that I should be called Your child is more than I can comprehend! I ask, Father, that You strengthen and empower me, along with all of my brothers and sisters in Christ, to truly understand how incredibly massive, beyond description, Your love is! Overwhelm me with Your love, I pray.
Take me from head-knowledge about Your love, into deep heart-relationship, experience and understanding. Remove, I pray, everything that hinders me from walking in Your love.
Do this, so that I might experience all of Your fullness, and be set free to love others as You have loved me.
Thank You, Father, that You have more in store for me than I can even think to ask. My hope is in You and in Your Name I put my trust. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Monday
As a community of faith, may we increasingly be those who bless with our mouths, who seek and pursue peace with one another. May we love as brothers and sisters being compassionate and humble towards one another (1 Peter 3:8-12).
Father, I ask that You breathe new Spirit-life into the ECB community of faith. As we gather on Sunday, may revival visitations of the Holy Spirit fall on us – change us, renew us, I pray (Ezekiel 37:5)! May we not resist the Holy Spirit in any way.

Tuesday
I ask, Father, that You reveal to us the ways we come near to You with our lips (what we say or sing in His presence), but keep our hearts far from You (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:8) (Sit quietly and allow the Holy Spirit to show you these things…).
Father, I ask that we as Your people, will increasingly choose to put off the old self, and be made new in the attitude of our minds – that we might be like You in righteousness and holiness. Increase our hunger for You (Ephesians 4:22-23)!
Remind us continually I pray, that it is not by our own strength or ability or intellect that we have victory in the many arenas of life – it is You, O God, that helps us and enables us to prosper (Psalm 44:5-8) (Pause and thank God for His power and presence in your life)!

Wednesday
Prayer and Fasting Focus
As you pray, remember by name those you know at ECB…
You have said Lord, that Your house is to be a ‘house of prayer for all nations. Father, teach us to pray at ECB, to really enter into a deeper longing for you – greater faith, greater fervency. Make us to be a true house of prayer (Mark 11:17). Father, I ask that Your Word would dwell in us richly, that we would overflow with Your Word (Colossians 3:16; 1:19-20).
Father, strengthen us with power through the Holy Spirit in our inner being, and establish us in the love of Christ! I pray for those in our fellowship who have never experienced earthly love, and therefore cannot comprehend Your great love! Set them free this day – remove all hindrances, that they might truly know Your love for them (Ephesians 3:16-17)!
May trust in You and faith in You rise up within us – putting fear and unbelief to flight! May we truly rest secure in You, knowing that You are the One Who shields us (Exodus 33:14; Deuteronomy 33:12).

Thursday
I ask Father, that the seeds of the Gospel that have been sown into the nation of Thailand for many decades would be watered by Your Spirit, spring forth and produce spiritual fruit! Give us harvest in this land Father – and make us ready to participate in Your plans!
I ask, Father, that You keep us from worry and fretfulness because of developing world events. May we increasingly be those who trust in You and do what is good – overcoming evil with loving good deeds. May Jesus be lived out through us in this way, I pray (Psalms 37:1, 3; Romans 12:21)!
Holy Spirit, keep us from unwholesome or foolish talk, obscenity or coarse joking, but instead may we increasingly be those who build each other up as we speak to one another (Ephesians 4:29; 5:4).

Friday
I ask, Father, that we would become a people who increasingly proclaim Your righteousness and speak of Your faithfulness. Make us to be loving, Gospel-messengers, I pray (Psalm 40:8-10).
So many among us, Father, have emotional wounds that need Your healing touch – they need a new song to sing. O God, in Your mercy, I ask that You lift them up and heal them (Psalm 40:2-3) (Pray for those you know by name, who are struggling under the weight of hurt and disappointment…).
Father, protect us from the love of money. May we be increasingly content with what we have knowing that You will never leave us (Hebrews 13:5-6).
I pray for our children and young people, Father, and ask You to strengthen them to stand firm in their faith and make a difference for Your Kingdom. Protect them from the evil one (John 17:15). May they follow You all the days of their lives.

Saturday
Revive the hearts of Your people across this city, I pray. Breathe the life of Your Spirit into dead places, into dry bones, that Your Church in Bangkok may rise-up as a mighty army (Ezekiel 37:4-14; Zechariah 2:5)!
How thankful I am for the privilege of worshiping with brothers and sisters from many lands. Unite us under the banner and cross of Christ, I pray. May the Word of God be our one true standard!
Father, help us as Your people, to learn to walk humbly with You. Give us the gift of repentance, I ask for godly sorrow which leads to salvation. Thank you for allowing to turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus (2 Corinthians 7:9: Acts 20:21: Psalm 119:2; Matthew 6:33). Fill us with fresh passion for You and a hunger for holiness, that we would truly become those who seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Reveal to us, I pray, the things that keep us from truly drawing near to You. Begin with me Lord and make me ready to receive Your Word tomorrow (Psalm 119:2; Matthew 6:33).
