Day 20 – Fasting
Scripture: Matthew 6:17
"When you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face."
Devotional Reflection
Fasting is a way of drawing closer to God and expressing our dependence on Him. As we set aside physical desires, we make room for a greater hunger for His presence, His Word, and His purposes. Fasting reminds us that God alone is our source of strength and satisfaction.
Today, ask God to deepen your desire for Him above all else.
Prayer Focus
- Thank God for sustaining and providing for you.
- Ask for a greater hunger for His presence and Word.
- Pray for deeper dependence on God rather than self-reliance.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to draw you closer to Jesus.
- Pray that ECB would seek God wholeheartedly through prayer and fasting.
