Day 30 – Compassion

Sep 30, 2026  •  Pastor Zach Wylie

Scripture: Matthew 9:36

"When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd."

Devotional Reflection

Jesus looked at people with compassion. He saw their hurts, struggles, and deepest needs and His heart was moved to help them. As followers of Christ, we are called to love others with the same compassion and care.

Today, ask God to help you see people through His eyes and respond with kindness, mercy, and love.

Prayer Focus

- Thank Jesus for His compassion and love.

- Ask God to give you a heart for those who are hurting and lost.

- Pray for sensitivity to the needs of others.

- Ask for opportunities to show kindness and mercy.

- Pray that ECB would reflect Christ's compassion in the community.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great compassion toward me. Give me Your heart for those who are hurting, lonely, and searching for hope. Open my eyes to see their needs and help me respond with love, kindness, and grace. May my life reflect the compassion of Jesus and point others to Him. Amen.

Today's Declaration

- Jesus fills my heart with compassion.

- I will see people through God's eyes.

- The Holy Spirit helps me love others with grace and kindness.

- God can use me to bring hope and encouragement.

- My life will reflect the compassion of Christ.

Reflection Question

Who around you need God's love and compassion today, and how can you show it in a practical way?
